This app is the epitome of "missed opportunity". For those of us HomeGoods/ TJs/ Marshalls junkies, we want to see new shipments as they arrive. We want to search by style number when needing multiple items of dinnerware or lamps or chairs, for example. We want to sort by store, distance, price. We want to search by keyword. We want to filter by department - your filter feature wont even work for me. Im not sure who worked on this user experience during the development of this app, but TJX marketing execs, please call me!! I live in the Boston area and would love to help you turn this missed opportunity into a marketing marvel, matching buyers to merchandise effortlessly. Heck, this could even be a social community where buyers can let each other know when they see merchandise someone else is looking for in their area! How fun would that be - having peer "scouts" looking out for you. Your stores get truckloads of merchandise everyday, never knowing whats coming. Lets reach customers before they even arrive at your brick and mortar locations to let them know what desired merchandise has arrived! Have sales associates take pics of displays! What better way to promote new arrivals than giving customers a visual preview of new displays in the store. Customers could essentially shop from home. Lets allow customers and store merchandisers to connect and minimize phone calls to the store, allowing associates to answer questions such as "what are the dimensions?", or "how many of these do you have?", or "please alert me when more of this style number comes in". Lets allow customers to prepay and have the store hold the purchased merchandise until customers can pick it up. Or what about allowing customers to request phone calls if more of a style number arrives, i.e., dish ware or bedding? I can go on and on and on...
