HomeGoods App Reviews

Terrible, and I mean TERRIBLE App!!! What happened?

Home goods needs to hire a web/app designer who knows what they are doing! The App was bare bones to begin with....only 3 or so pics a day from each store, no way to search if other stores have same item, and odd cheap items pictured- such as a rather bland looking salt and pepper shaker set, or a plastic dog bone (this isnt Pet Supplies!) Cmon, Homegoods, you have many more unique items and furniture that deserve to be represented. Also I cannot log on without having to request a new password EVERYTIME. Why have customers have a password, anyway?? Its not a store where we are entering credit card information! Nothing about this App makes sense or works very well at all. TJX is a successful and much loved corporation. Please honor your loyal customers with something better.

Missed Opportunity

This app is the epitome of "missed opportunity". For those of us HomeGoods/ TJs/ Marshalls junkies, we want to see new shipments as they arrive. We want to search by style number when needing multiple items of dinnerware or lamps or chairs, for example. We want to sort by store, distance, price. We want to search by keyword. We want to filter by department - your filter feature wont even work for me. Im not sure who worked on this user experience during the development of this app, but TJX marketing execs, please call me!! I live in the Boston area and would love to help you turn this missed opportunity into a marketing marvel, matching buyers to merchandise effortlessly. Heck, this could even be a social community where buyers can let each other know when they see merchandise someone else is looking for in their area! How fun would that be - having peer "scouts" looking out for you. Your stores get truckloads of merchandise everyday, never knowing whats coming. Lets reach customers before they even arrive at your brick and mortar locations to let them know what desired merchandise has arrived! Have sales associates take pics of displays! What better way to promote new arrivals than giving customers a visual preview of new displays in the store. Customers could essentially shop from home. Lets allow customers and store merchandisers to connect and minimize phone calls to the store, allowing associates to answer questions such as "what are the dimensions?", or "how many of these do you have?", or "please alert me when more of this style number comes in". Lets allow customers to prepay and have the store hold the purchased merchandise until customers can pick it up. Or what about allowing customers to request phone calls if more of a style number arrives, i.e., dish ware or bedding? I can go on and on and on...

Much Better!

Thankful that HomeGoods fixed the sign-out issue. Love this app!

Love it!

Cant live without this app! Thanks for addressing the logout issue!

Waste of time

Still not sure what value this app gives a user. Pics are limited, descriptions are poor, if any. App architect is also very poorly built. Filters???? Scrolling is not a filter. Ive since deleted.

Crashes

Constantly crashes. Its only worked about twice for me.

Need a search field.

Deleted the app. please add a search field or at least let me search a category of merchandize so i dont have to look at crap I am not interested in.

Seriously? Fire your app designer

No search, cant buy through app, only can see merchandise by scrolling through one long list view. I could go on but I wont. Terrible app. You are missing out on a lot of sales.

Purchase?

I love HomeGoods and TJmaxx! But I wish the app allowed me to purchase over the app or to "hold" and item at the store. I also wish I could search for the availability of a particular item in a set travel distance or in surrounding areas.

Just stupid

It just shows some random items from stores near you. There is no way to search for what youd like to buy. Just stupid.

Has flaws

Love the constant pics from the various stores. I wish you were able to put something on hold. Or even ask questions about a product. The app itself has flaws, it keeps logging me out and every time I try to sign back in I always have to reset my password. I am currently locked out because I tried to reset again and the app wont accept my new password. Very frustrating.

Waste of phone space

App crashes often and isnt worth the time/effort/memory. Photos are of odd items people have seen in the store without rhyme or reason.

Crashes all the time

Poor feed and it crashes ALL the time

Website

Unable to find items. I dont want to see designs. I want to see if you have the item i am looking for.

Not user friendly

There arent any kind of search options or categories. If Im looking for a wooden bowl, I have to view every single item presented in hopes that I might come across something close to what Im actually interested in. Instead of looking in a kitchen category or searching for bowl and finding out quickly that there are two wooden bowls or none at all, I must sift through a random inventory presented. This app needs to be updated to be even remotely usable.

Unstable

Very very buggy and unstable. Crashes often. Tried searching for stores in other states and zip codes and it says there are none, including in my own area where there are HG stores less than 10 miles away! Otherwise I love seeing whats new at various stores.

App crashes/wont load & needs to be taken a step further

First & foremost, fix the app. I constantly have trouble using the app. Lately, it crashes or wont load anything. Disappointing since it is such a simple app. This app is a wonderful idea, it just needs to be taken a step further. I would like to see more than 6 or 7 photos of somewhat new items posted per store, in particular furniture. Maybe HomeGoods should incentivize their stores/employees to post more pictures. Also, posting photos throughout the day instead of one time a day would make me want to check the app more frequently. I would like to see furniture (and other items) posted as soon as it is wheeled out to the floor. I have noticed an item in a store, then Ill see it posted a couple of days later. If I am looking for a particular piece of furniture, Id hate to know I missed out on it because I was checking the app daily instead of driving to multiple stores everyday. I would love to see a purchase from app option for items that I really love. Then all I would have to do is drive to the store and pick it up.

Review

I was excited to see some new items in stores, if I was interested I may take the extra trip. However, I am finding that there is not a diverse selection to view on this app, and the same items are often posted. Some of the photos are not clear as well. You need to show more items that are available in the store.

App keeps crashing and wont load stores

The app doesnt recognize the stores I previously set up to watch. Search by state and zip says no stores located. Wont load any pictures. If I select favorites it tries to load a saved item then crashes and closes the app.

terrible crashes

happen every single time i run the app. should be fixed.
